Delete your account and data
OffroadPal · Dubai, UAE
You can delete some of your data while keeping your account, or delete the account and everything attached to it. Both are described below — each works from inside the app, or by email if you have already removed the app from your phone.
If you only want to remove some of your data
You do not have to delete your account to get rid of specific things.
- A recorded drive — delete it in the app, from the drive summary or from the drive's own page. It is removed from your device and from our servers.
- A photo you uploaded — delete it from the spot's gallery in the app. Only you can delete your own photos.
- Anything else, or without the app — email support@offroadpal.app from the email address on the account and say what you want removed — drives, photos, or spot suggestions — and that you want to keep the account. We action these by hand and confirm by email, the same way as full deletion below.
Deleting the whole account
1. From inside the app
Open OffroadPal and go to Profile → Delete account. The app asks you to confirm, then deletes everything listed below and signs you out. This happens immediately and it cannot be undone.
2. By email — if you no longer have the app
You do not need to reinstall anything. Email support@offroadpal.app from the email address on the account, with the subject “Delete my account”.
We use the address you send from to identify the account, so please send it from that address. If you cannot, tell us the email address you signed up with and we will ask you to confirm it another way before deleting anything.
We action these by hand and we will reply by email to confirm when it is done. We are a small team, so we are not going to quote you a number of hours we might miss — if you have not heard back, reply to your own email and it will come back to the top.
What is deleted
When you delete the whole account, all of this is permanently removed:
- Your profile — display name, avatar, vehicle details, status.
- Your sign-in identity, so the account no longer exists.
- Every spot you have claimed, and the points and XP from those claims.
- Your recorded drives and their routes.
- Your saved waypoints and any photos you uploaded.
- Your last known and live location records.
- Your badges, labels and roles.
- Any SOS alerts you raised.
- Your friendships, removed from both sides, so nobody keeps a link to you.
- Your membership of any convoy.
What is kept, and why
Two things survive, and neither of them stays attached to you.
- Records of rewards that were actually fulfilled. If you redeemed a reward and we sent it, we keep the record that the reward was issued, with your identity removed from it — the personal details are replaced and any note containing your name is cleared. We keep it because a fulfilled reward is a financial record, and because reward redemption checks past recipients so the same person does not receive the same reward repeatedly. It can no longer be connected back to you.
- Convoys that other people are still in. A convoy you started does not disappear from under the people driving in it. Your membership is removed and the convoy is handed to another member, or ended if you were the only one left. Nothing personal to you remains on it.
Separately, crash and usage diagnostics are not linked to your account and are held for up to 12 months, as described in the privacy policy.
Anything else
If you would rather correct or download your data than delete it, or you have a question about any of the above, email support@offroadpal.app. Your rights under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law are set out in the privacy policy.
