By downloading or using OffroadPal, you agree to these terms. Please read them — especially the safety section.

1. The app

OffroadPal is a companion app for off-road driving in the UAE. It helps you find Dune Spots, record drives, earn points, and convoy with friends. Features may change or move as we keep building it.

2. Safety — read this carefully

Off-roading is dangerous. OffroadPal is a tool, not a substitute for skill, judgment, or proper equipment. You are solely responsible for your safety, your passengers, your vehicle, and the environment.

• Drive within your skill level. Tier badges in the app are a gamified progression — they do not certify off-road competence.
• Carry recovery gear (shovel, traction boards, tow strap), sufficient water, and a means of off-grid communication.
• Tell someone your route and expected return time before you leave. Do not rely on the app to summon help — it requires cellular signal.
• Respect the desert and other users. Pack out everything you bring in.
• Do not drive while looking at the screen. Pull over to check your position or claim a spot.

3. Your account

You must be 16 or older to use OffroadPal. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. One person, one account — sharing accounts will get them suspended.

4. What you create

Drives, claims, photos, and convoys you create stay yours. By using the app you grant us a non-exclusive license to display your content to the friends, convoys, and leaderboards you participate in — solely for the purpose of running the app.

5. What you can't do

• Use the app to harass, threaten, or share illegal content.
• Spoof your location, claim spots you haven't visited, or manipulate leaderboards.
• Scrape, copy, or redistribute Dune Spot data, polygons, or photos for commercial purposes without permission.
• Reverse-engineer or attempt to disrupt the service.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

6. Beta software, no warranty

OffroadPal is provided "as is", with no warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee it will be available, accurate, or free of bugs. Use at your own risk. Off-road navigation, GPS accuracy, and SOS features can fail without warning.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app — including (but not limited to) vehicle damage, injury, loss of life, lost data, or missed connections.

8. Changes

We may update these terms as the app evolves. Material changes will be surfaced inside the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Dubai.
